Rocket at 8 weeks

Rocket has almost doubled his birth weight - he can smile, conduct invisible orchestras, charm strangers, beat his dad in a farting contest, and sleep through very loud noises (including dad using the paper shredder, guys doing roadwork, mom banging pots and pans in the kitchen). He loves his "Valco Baby" bouncy chair, sitting in the sling next to mommy's chest, hanging out in dad's lap while dad plays piano, car rides, sleeping with his hands raised above his head, and eating of course. He can not hold his head up yet but is practicing every day.

My First Blog

Wow, Joel just set me up with a blog spot...feels kinda intimidating to think about writing something that anybody and everybody can read but I am determined to have some record of these early days with Rocket so here goes....

This photo is from Rocket's first Halloween. How sweet is my little carrot! I am a little mortified that I turned out to be one of those moms who sews embarrassing clothing for their helpless children, but I couldn't resist having an Anne Geddes moment.
